LG G6 goes official: FullVision display, UX 6.0 and Dual Rear Camera

Finally, LG G6 goes official. Juno Cho, President of Mobile Communications Company, LG Electronics, on the stage of the Mobile World Congress 2017. Compared to its predecessor LG G5, G6 borrows certain aspects of winning, as the configuration of the dual rear camera, fills important gaps, introducing the IP68 certification, and expresses the maximum potential of a mature platform, known as Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. LG g6

Coming to the LG G6 specifications, the device is not very different from what is shown by LG in late 2016 on its V20. However, because of its limited marketing, thanks to interesting improvements and unique features of the G6, the new flagship of the South Korean is certainly a device that can represent an important step forward for LG.

Main highlight of the G6 lies in its 5.7-inch FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ (2880 x 1440 pixels) resolution that can translate a pixel density of 564ppi, and the first smartphone in the category with HDR10 and Dolby Vision support.

New LG UX 6.0 interface allows to take advantage of the two 9:9 squares in which you can split the display, offering the user to view two windows at full 1440p resolution even in landscape mode. In addition, thanks to the presence of such a large display, the interface is able to display additional elements in the various system applications. For example, you can see real time view of camera application, without having to switch display in full screen that selected as primary.

LG G6 has IP68 certification for water and dust resistance that makes it safe to be immersed in up to 1.5 meters of water for as long as 30 minutes. Along with the first smartphone to feature Dolby Vision and HDR 10 technology, both of which are standards for High Dynamic Range (HDR), the picture quality technology which allows for a wider range of color and luminosity, wherein both the darkest and the brightest areas are more vivid, revealing greater detail for a truly immersive viewing experience.

The LG G6 is also supporting the Google Assistant, the first non-Google Pixel smartphone to sport to virtual assistant. Unfortunately, the LG G6 price and availability details not disclosed by the company yet. It will be available for pre-book on 2nd March and will go on sale starting March 10 and the device is available in Astro Black, Ice Platinum and Mystic White color options.
