Lensbaby has announced pre-orders for its new OMNI Color Expansion Pack. The pack includes a variety of color gels, “crystal effect wands,” Lumi films, and diffraction films that are magnetically attached to the ring in front of the lens. Each stick is designed to create specific photo effects in the camera, similar to filter applications, but with a higher level of control and repeatability.
The OMNI Color Expansion Pack features an array of multi-colored films and gels, color crystals, a rainbow diffraction film, and a carrying case.
Currently, the system is equipped with two Crystal Effect Wands with spectral coating that results in constantly changing prismatic colors; five Lumi Films includes a range of colors and hues which add color, light leaks, expired film effects, and more; five Color Gels add a single swath of color overlay; Crisscross Rainbow Film to create a patterned rainbow effect; and two Effect Wand Handles to holds the gels and films.
