Leagoo T5c: World’s First Smartphone With Spreadtrum SC9853i SoC!

Last week, a news was released that LEAGOO’s new product – T5c is about to launch, attracting many Leagoo fans’ attention for further information. Now the latest information shows that Leagoo T5c is not equipped with MTK Octa-core chipset. Actually, it will come with a SoC known as SC9853i, produced by a manufacturer called Spreadtrum who is dedicated to the budget and mid-range smartphone CPU.

And the T5c is the first device the SC9853i gets aboard after its release! Built on Intel’s 14nm foundry platform, SC9853 exceeds in both performance and power efficiency!

According to the official data from Spreadtrum, SC9853i is an octa-core chipset with 1.8Ghz frequency. The test result of Antutu benchmark shows that SC9853i is 39% stronger than MT6750, in which the single-core performance and multi-core performance of SC9853i is 25% and 36% stronger than that of MT6750 respectively. Thanks to Intel’s 14nm FinFET technology, SC9853i’s power efficiency is also predominantly better than the 28nm MTK MT6750.

Leagoo T5c will be equipped with 1.8GHz octa-core processor, a 13-megapixels Samsung + 2-megapixels OmniVision rear dual camera and 5.5-inch FHD IPS display from SHARP. It has a storage of 3GB of RAM and 32GB of native storage, which is a little behind T5, but it still has a large LG 3000mAh battery with 5V2A quick charge.

  1. I got one of those from Gearbest before the holidays, and the phone is quite satisfactory to use and hold. Performance is on par for such a chipset, the screen is great, photo is so-so (good in daylight, barely average when the night comes), and overall, it’s a steal given the price.

    One fault: the stock UI, called Sujet, comes with a Trojan that’s impossible to remove unless you root the phone.
