Kyocera Phones has announced its latest smartphone, Hydro Shore, the ruggedised variant from the company. The device will be available for purchase AT&T GoPhone and Walmart store, priced at $80 without any contract. 
The phone is dust and water resistant with IP57 certification and can survive being dipped in 1 meter water for up to 30 minutes. It will not operate under water, so user can should be dried it as quickly as possible, but users can use the screen even when it’s wet.
The Kyocera Hydro Shore features a 5-inch flexible acrylic lens display with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution that has a pixel density of 220ppi. The device is powered by a 1.1 GHz Quad-core processor that is fueled by Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) chipset paired with Adreno 304 GPU. The phone offer 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal storage and also offers a microSD card slot that allows users to expand storage up to 128GB.
The Hydro Shore packs in 2160mAh battery also borrows energy saving features such as Eco Mode that powers down non-critical features and MaxiMZR closes unused data connections, to extend battery life. As per listing, the device can provide up to 13 hours of talk time and up to 11 days of standby time.
The Kyocera Hydro Shore phone sports a 5-megapixel rear autofocus camera with digital zoom and LED flash. There is a 2-megapixel front facing camera for selfie and video calling. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system, no word on Android 6.0 Marshmallow update yet. The phone has an accelerometer and proximity sensors.

For connectivity, this ATT Kyocera Phone supports single SIM slot with 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options. It will be offered in Black color option. It measures 139 x 72.1 x 9.9mm and weighs 141 grams.
