Finally, the long awaited Kingdom Hearts III has a window of the official launch, on stage at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, Square Enix has finally revealed that the third episode of the JRPG starring Sora and his companions arrive on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018.
Kingdom Hearts III video that shows an unusual setting that will delight all fans of the series: one of the brand world inspired by the famous Toy Story animated series.
The Kingdom Hearts III trailer showcases both cutscenes and gameplay, including the ability to pilot a toy mech, and it looks great. Incidentally, this will be a brand new bespoke Toy Story storyline, created exclusively for the game. The events that we will face in the world of Toy Story will be completely new as they have been created specifically for the title.
Following the announcement on the new environment that will be rolled out to the entire Kingdom Hearts III, Tetsuya Nomura, director of the game, and Jason Katz Pixar has stated:
“At long last, we are excited to open up the Kingdom Hearts universe to include the world of Disney•Pixar’s ‘Toy Story. I’m sure fans have been anticipating the inclusion of this world for many years. The narrative will be an original story exclusive to Kingdom Hearts III, and the gameplay will feel characteristic of the ‘Toy Story’ style and aesthetic. The game was announced back at E3 2013, as the third numbered title of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, that is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. The Kingdom Hearts III will be released in 2018 for PS4 and Xbox One.
