JBL announced the release of a new Bluetooth Speaker called Boombox which is far out of the ordinary. The product is extra large in size and performance as well. Although Boombox is designed to be transported and used anywhere (the integrated handle makes it obvious), it is not a speaker anyway. The weight of JBL Boombox is about 5 kilograms and the built-in 20,000mAh battery clearly differentiates it from the average.
Inside it, there are four transducers and two passive low-frequency radiator. Boombox is IPX7 certified and therefore it can withstand under water about 1 meter deep. The Bluetooth connection can be used to match the speaker to other JBL Connect + enabled products. The device includes two USB ports and also able to charge your mobile devices. The high capacity battery allows you to listen to music of over 20 hours.
JBL Boombox will be officially presented at IFA 2017 and will be released in the fall. The list price will be set at around $515 – approximately £399.99.
