Jabra Elite 45h Review: Luxurious Design, Good Conversation, Reasonable Price

The Jabra Elite 45h is a rare, inexpensive Wireless On-Ear Headphones offered at a fairly affordable price of around $99.99. Today we had the privilege of getting a new Jabra wireless headphones hands-on, so we would recommend it to anyone who needs inexpensive on-ear wireless headphones.

Jabra Elite 45h Review

The new Jabra headphones feature a larger battery and new color options. We’ve tested the Jabra Elite 45h, and here’s what we think about this new pair of entry-level wireless on-ear headphones.

Design

Jabra headphones always give themselves a sense of simplicity, but luxury, and even this Jabra Elite 45h. Although quite light in weight as most of the plastic is used in its texture, the finishing of the product is also very good.

The light headband is made of a material that does not feel heavy on the head. This particular headband is flexible and can be folded without breaking. The earcup design is foldable for users to move around easily. The Jabra Elite 45h also comes with a headset pouch so you can comfortably keep it in your bag. But in this segment, introducing such a high-end headset bag is a great offering.

One odd thing is that the Elite 45h earpad is flattened instead of the round at the ear like many other traditional headphones, and the earpad frame can move easily, so when wearing it feels extremely comfortable like any other on-ear headphones.

For control, the Elite 45h uses the buttons on the right earcup. Power switch cum pairing button and 3 control buttons for calling and playing music are located on the back of the earcup. It also has a dedicated button for Google Assistant, Siri, and Alexa on the front side.

Despite the lower price, the Jabra Elite 45h still uses the USB-C charging port, not Micro-USB port like many other wireless headsets in this price segment.

The product has a battery life of up to 40 hours, we have been on this product for a long time so we can verify it correctly. Fast charging for 15 minutes and listen to music continuously for 8 hours.

The Jabra Elite 45h uses two microphones to support audio recording, interaction, and before now Jabra headphones are capable of very good conversation. We tried to listen to the call, the call quality is very good, obviously, if you buy mainly to learn online or chat online, we think the Elite 45h is very suitable.

Sound

We’ve usually had good experiences with wireless headphones from Jabra, so we were looking forward to good sound quality from the Jabra Elite 45h as well. This is a value product from the Danish headphone manufacturer and is one of the most affordable on-ear headsets from a major global company in the US.

Jabra headphones

In terms of sound quality, the first impression on the audio quality of the Jabra Elite 45h is an improvement in detail but the color of the sound is still similar to the Jabra Move Wireless Bluetooth Headphones. It is also compatible with the Jabra Sound+ app, so you can optimize the sound according to your choices.

But its sound profile has not yet been finalized according to the producer, so it is difficult for us to come to a definitive decision for the audio profile at this time. The headphones were decent for voice calls, with clear sound on both ends. The microphone does a good job, and the elevated mid-range comes in handy, making voices sound loud and clear.

Final line

With a pretty low price, compact design, good conversation, the Jabra Elite 45h is also a potential product and can compete with Sony’s current on-ear wireless headphones.

The Elite 45h brings a few changes compared to the Jabra Move, with a bigger battery and more color options being the only tweaks. The battery life improvement is a significant one, bringing this pair of headphones up to date with current standards for battery life in the category of wireless headphones priced below $100 – it can be purchased through the Amazon store.

Perhaps the best reason to pick up the Jabra Elite 45h would be if you intend to use the headset for a lot of voice calls — call quality is excellent, as is sound when watching videos, TV shows, and movies. If you’re looking for music-focused wireless headphones, the Jabra isn’t a bad option, but certainly isn’t the best you can buy at the price.

However, the fit, comfort, and sound leave little to be desired at this price, especially the quality of competing products such as the FiiO EH3 NC which is slightly higher than the price because it comes with an Active Noise Cancelling feature.
