Intel NUC Mini PCs With 8th Gen Intel Core SoC, Iris Plus, and Radeon 540 Graphics

Intel officially introduces the new NUC Mini PCs are based on the Coffee Lake U series 8th Gen Intel Core i7, i5 and i3 processors with integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics. All new five Intel NUC kits include NUC8i7BEH, NUC8i5BEH, NUC8i5BEK, NUC8i3BEH, and NUC8i3BEK – addressed to different usage and hardware customization.

The NUC8i3CYSM and NUC8i3CYSN models codename “Crimson Canyon”, represent the most budget proposal of the series; intended for the mainstream segment. According to the manufacturer, these Intel NUC mini PCs offer performance that meets the needs of casual gamers, especially users who play 1080p in popular titles such as League of Legends and TF2. We find a Core i3-8121U processor on board, paired with Iris Plus 655 graphics (128MB of eDRAM), up to 1TB of storage, 4GB or 8GB of DDR4 RAM, WiFi AC, Bluetooth 5.0 and HDMI 2.0 connectivity.

The Intel Iris Plus graphics with eDRAM that can power home theater systems, drive content creator boxes and serve as a personal voice assistant. They also allow integrators and DIYers to customize with their choice of storage, memory and operating system.

Intel NUC8The NUC8i7BEH and NUC8i5BEH are more powerful versions coming with Core i7-8559U and Core i5-8259U, the connectivity and ports are similar, while the USB 3.1 gen 2 and Intel Optane support are not missing.

The NUC Mini PCs also feature discrete graphics; AMD Radeon 540 2GB graphics card, and Windows 10 Home OS. These have been available globally starting from September.
