Insta360 introduced the new 360-degree action camera called One X, the evolution of the previous model from which it differs in design and different technical specifications.
The Insta360 One X has a more boxy body, implements a small circular display in which is shown some important information on remaining battery, set resolution and more, some small LEDs, two image sensors and a removable 1,200mAh battery. Videos can be captured at a maximum resolution of 5.7K / 30fps while spherical photos reach up to 18MP.
Among its main features, we mention the presence of an advanced stabilization system (FlowState) able to make shooting really fast, beautiful Cinematic Slow-Mo mode, to vary or slow down the shoot. Mount it anywhere – from a helmet to a selfie stick to a kayak – and footage comes out looking like it’s been professionally stabilized.
It also has a Wifi connection, which can be used to communicate with a smartphone and easily transfer the contents made, and app management even more advanced than before through which you can edit in depth the video produced with the cam.
Also very interesting are the various accessories that Insta360 has designed specifically for the One X as the two waterproof cases (Venture and Dive Case), the rotating Selfie Stick specific to the Bullet Time Shot (circular shots with central subject), the GPS Smart Remote to get more information on the route taken (altitude, position, speed, direction, etc.) and the original Drifter that lets you get airborne slow-mo shots.
There is obviously no lack of HDR mode, the ability to record movies at a higher frame rate (up to 100fps in 3K) and a micro USB port for data transfer even via cable.
Insta360 One X is now available for pre-order through a Bhphotovideo online store, priced at $399.00 and will be released on October 17th.
