Huawei P9 and P9 Plus with Dual 12MP Camera with Leica Lens and Kirin 955 CPU Launched

Huawei P9 and P9 Plus have been officially launched at a private media event in London. In the last few days both devices were in much rumored for its dual camera with Leica SUMMARIT lenses.

Huawei P9 price starting from £449 – approximately $635 USD (3GB RAM) and available in Mystic Silver, Titanium Grey, Haze Gold, Prestige Gold, Rose Gold and Ceramic White color options. While the Huawei P9 Plus price starting from £549 – approximately $776 USD and available in Quartz Grey, Haze Gold, Rose Gold and Ceramic White color options.

Both the Huawei smartphones will be available for purchase starting from 16th April 2016.

Huawei P9 Specifications:

The Huawei P9 flaunts a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels along with 2.5 curved glass layer on top of it. The handset is powered by 64-bit Kirin 955 processor (Quad 2.5 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) clubbed with Mali T880-MP4 GPU and 3GB/4GB of RAM. It packs in 32GB/64GB of native storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB with the help of microSD card. It has a full metal uni-body has a thickness of 6.95 mm and weighs 144 grams.

The imaginary features, one of the main highlights of P9 series, P9 features a 12-megapixel dual rear camera with Leica SUMMARIT lenses, wide f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and dual tone LED flash. These dual cameras come with hybrid-focus technology and an independent depth measurement chip. For professional photography, Huawei also provides Manual control and RAW image supports.

Meanwhile, the front panel has an 8-megapixel autofocus sensor with wide aperture of f/2.4 to capture bright and wide group selfies and high quality video calling. For security purpose, there is also a fingerprint sensor on the back with 3D technology and infrared sensor as well.

The Huawei P9 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on EMUI 4.1 interface and packs in a 3000mAh battery along with fast charging technology out of the box. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C, 3.5 mm audio jack as connectivity options.

Huawei P9 Plus Specifications:

The Huawei P9 Plus, on the other hand share same features as Huawei P9 Specs, but slightly larger AMOLED display of 5.5-inches with Press Touch technology. This display encounter multiple levels of pressure, also allowing you to complete different actions such as launching an app or zooming into a picture by applying pressure.

All other specifications such as processors, cameras, software and connectivity features of the P9 Plus are similar to the P9 except extra juice, it comes with a 3400mAh battery that also supports fast charging technology.
