Huawei Nova 5 With 6.39-inch OLED HDR Display, Leica quad-lens Cameras, Kirin 810 Launched

Along with the Nova 5 Pro, the company has also announced the Huawei Nova 5 smartphone in China. It is mid-range device comes with a 6.39-inch dewdrop notch display, 8GB RAM, Quad Rear Cameras with Leica lenses and In-display fingerprint sensor.

Huawei Nova 5 Price and Availability

The Huawei Nova 5 price in China has been set at CNY 2,799 – approximately $407 for the lone 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version. It will be available for order in China from July 13th and go on sale from 20th July. The device comes in Black, Purple, and Green color options.

The Huawei Nova 5 features a 6.39-inch OLED HDR dewdrop notch display with FHD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution, and 108% DCI-P3 Color Gamut. It is powered by a 2.27 GHz octa-core processor which supported by HUAWEI Kirin 810 SoC with 820MHz ARM Mali-G52MP6 GPU and 8GB LPDDR4x of RAM. It packs a 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.

On the camera front, the Nova 5 bears a Leica quad-lens cameras with a 48-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, a 16-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 2-megapixel sensor for 4cm macro with f/2.4 aperture and a 2-megapixel 2MP depth of field lens with f/2.4 aperture, PDAF, CAF for portrait shots. For selfie, there is a 32-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Huawei Nova 5 has an in-display fingerprint scanner, gradient 3D glass back. The device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with EMUI 9.1.1 out of the box. It packs a 3500mAh battery with 0W HUAWEI SuperCharge fast charging that lets you charge the phone up to 50% in 15 minutes and 85% in 30 minutes. For connectivity includes Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS, USB Type-C. The device measures 157.4×74.8×7.33mm and weigh 171 grams.
