Huawei Mate 9 with 4GB RAM and Porsche Design Limited Edition with 6GB RAM Announced

Huawei Mate 9 has been officially launched in Germany, one of the latest flagship smartphone with dual Leica camera setup and running Android Nougat operating system. The Huawei Mate 9 price is set to €699 – approximately $774 USD, and is available in Space Gray, Black, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Ceramic White and Mocha Brown color variants. The handset will roll out in China, France, Malaysia, Poland, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Japan, Italy, Thailand, Kuwait and United Arab Emirates soon. Meanwhile the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 9 price is quite high around €1395 – approximately $1548 USD, and is available in Graphite Black color only. The device will first go on sale in the European Porsche Design Stores end of this year, and Porsche Design Stores worldwide next year and selected Huawei retail stores in Asia, Middle East and Europe.

Coming specifications, the Huawei Mate 9 features a 5.9-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can convey a pixel density of 373ppi and 77.5 percent screen-to-body ratio; while the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design variant comes with a 5.5-inch 2.5D curved glass AMOLED display with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) that can translate a pixel density of 534ppi and 73.2 percent screen-to-body ratio. Huawei Mate 9 Release Date

Processor used on both devices is an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 960 (Quad 2.4 GHz + Quad 1.8 GHz) processor with IntelliSense i6 sensor hub along with Mali G71 MP8 GPU. Regular variant comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Porsche Design model packs in 6GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, and both supports microSD card slots.

Camera features are similar on both variants including a dual 20-megapixel (monochrome) and a 12-megapixel (RGB) Leica camera system at rear with f/2.2 aperture, Laser AF, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and dual-tone LED flash. It can also able to record 4K videos. It uses Huawei’s in-house ISP for post processing the images and comes with Hybrid Zoom that features 2x magnification. For selfie, it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture for wide selfies and video calling.

Both Huawei smartphones run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS based on Emotion UI 5.0 interface on top it. Both packs a 4000mAh battery with SuperCharge technology, which promises 24-hours battery life with just 20 minutes of charging time. Both support hybrid SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, NFC, and USB Type-C options. The regular variant measures 156.9 x 78.9 x 7.9mm, weighs 190 grams, while the Porsche design measuring 152 x 75 x 7.5mm, and weighs 169 grams.
