Huawei has started the distribution of a new update for Mate 10 Lite, the mid-range smartphone was announced silently last October 2017.
Among the main features of this Huawei Mate 10 Lite update, still based on the Android Nougat software and a first report comes from Pakistan. Huawei has also introduced most recent security patches month of February, the new Face Unlock mode added to unlock your device through the face and some AR effects for the anterior chamber. According to the Reddit user who received the update, the new Face Unlock feature seems to work rather quickly.
Once set via the security settings, the device will recognize the face simply by pressing the power button. After identifying the face, the smartphone will approve the access by unlocking and automatically jumping to the lock screen.
The Huawei Mate 10 Lite update has a weight of 742MB and is identifiable with the RNE-L21C185B142 build. The update is rolling out in phases throughout February.
Although, the device is not officially available in the USA, it can be purchased via Amazon store for $289.95 / £204.99 for unlocked versions.
