Huawei Maimang 8 With 6.21-inch FHD+ Display, 6GB RAM, Triple Rear Cameras Launched

After the launch of the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro last month, Huawei has now announced the Maimang 8 smartphone in China, which is an updated version of the Huawei Maimang 7 was launched last year. Huawei Maimang 8 is mid-range device comes with a 6.21-inch 19.5:9 display, 6GB RAM, Triple Rear Cameras and fingerprint sensor from the Huawei being launched today.

Huawei Maimang 8 Price and Availability

The Huawei Maimang 8 price in China has been set at CNY 1,899 – approximately $274 for the sole 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version. It will be available for order starting today and go on sale from June 12th in China. The device comes in Midnight Black and Sapphire Blue color options.

Huawei Maimang 8 Specifications

The Huawei Maimang 8 is a hybrid dual-SIM smartphone and is based on EMUI 9.0 on top of Android 9.0 Pie. It sports a 6.21-inch FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 89% screen-to-body ratio, and a waterdrop notch. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core Kirin 710 12nm processor, coupled with an ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU, and 6GB of RAM.

In the camera department, the Maimang 8 boost with a Triple rear camera setup: a 24-megapixel main sensor with 480 fps slow motion, 16-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and 2-megapixel sensor to capture bokeh effect and AI portraits as well as AI scene detection. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture with AI and AR capabilities. The smartphone has an inbuilt storage of 128GB, expandable via microSD card up to 512GB.

The Huawei Maimang 8 features a Face unlock and rear fingerprint sensor. For connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS + GLONASS, Micro USB. There is a 3400mAh battery, measuring 155.2 x 73.4 x 7.95mm and weigh 160 grams.
