Huawei Maimang 5 has been quietly launched in China, or may be introduced worldwide as the Huawei G9. It is the latest mid-range smartphone device from the company in the Maimang series, it is said to be an upgraded variant of the Huawei Maimang 4 was launched back in 2015 in China. The Huawei Maimang 5 price in China is set to CNY 2,399 – approximately $358 for 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and CNY 2,599 – approximately $388 for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage. It is Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Moonlight silver color variant. 
Huawei Maimang 5 Specifications
The device sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution that can deliver a high pixel density of 401ppi, along with 2.5D curved glass layer with 77.9% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor that’s fueled by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 14nm processor clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU. The device packs in 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage or 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage which is expandable up to 128GB with the help of microSD card slot.
On the camera front, the Maimang 5 has a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with f/2.0 aperture, Sony IMX298 sensor, PDAF, OIS, 6P lens and dual tone LED flash. It can also able to shoot 4K videos at 30fps. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wide angle lens to capture wide group selfies and high quality video chatting. The handset also equipped with a fingerprint scanner on the back panel that can unlock the device in 0.3 seconds. 
The handset runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Huawei EMUI 4.1 interface on top. It packs a 3340mAh battery is claimed to deliver up to 22 hours of talk time and 800 hours of standby time. It measures 151.8 x 75.7 x 7.3 mm and weighs 160 grams. The smartphone has all-metal unibody with soft rounded corners.

For connectivity, it supports Hybrid Dual SIM along with 4G VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, USB Type-C, 3.5 mm audio jack and FM Radio connectivity options.
