Huawei launches Honor MagicWatch 2 With Kirin A1, 14 days battery, 5ATM, and More

Honor MagicWatch 2 is official now as planned, the second Honor watch has just been introduced to the global market. It comes in two different versions: 46 mm or 42 mm case and with a selection of straps and customized dials for all tastes.

Compared to the first-generation model, many aspects of design change, the frames are smaller, the battery can last up to 14 days in the 46 mm version, and all the hardware is now controlled by the new Kirin A1 chip.

The new Huawei smart watch packs a 455mAh battery that promises up to 14 days of battery life. As for the sports and smart side, Honor MagicWatch 2 can count on more than 15 activities, heart rate monitoring, notifications, music playback, exercise tracking and more. There is also the possibility of making or receive calls via Bluetooth, even on the move, via a pair of headphones or with the integrated speaker and microphone.

Honor MagicWatch 2 supports 15 sports modes, sleep tracking, heart rate tracking and atrial fibrillation, blood oxygen saturation, pressure management and more aimed at achieving goals, 8 for outdoor sports and 7 for indoor sports, the heart rate sensor provides real-time information to help users improve their physical activity, while Huawei TruRelax technology, can recognize and accurately diagnose 6 common types of sleep disorder.

From the Huawei watch you can also detect the stress level in situations of tension, memorize up to 500 songs thanks to 4GB of storage – only 2GB available to store music. It comes with a 5ATM rating so it is water-resistant at a depth of 50 meters.

Price and Availability

The Honor MagicWatch 2 has been priced at CNY 1099 – approximately $156 for the 42mm silicone band and CNY 1399 – approximately $198 for the 42mm leather band versions. The 46mm silicone band version costs CNY 1199 – approximately $170 and the leather version of it costs CNY 1399 – approximately $198. It will go on sale in China from December 12, and comes in Black and Brown color options.
