Huawei Honor 5X with 5.5-inch Display, 3GB RAM and Fingerprint Scanner Launched

Huawei has launched Honor 5X in China with a price tag of CNY 1,399 – approximately $220 for 3GB variant and CNY 999 – approximately $157 for 2GB variant. Huawei has done a differently with the Honor 5X, it comes with a metal unibody and sides with the shiny chrome effect that also offering a compact size with quite high specifications.

Huawei Honor 5X is full of metal design, it looks quite good. The back panel of the device divided into the three parts, upper and bottom have a rigid plastic design, a 13MP camera sensor with dual LED flash left of the camera and Fingerprint Scanner at below.

The handset comes with a 5.5-inch large display, uses IPS technology to provide better viewing angles and Full-HD 1920×1080 pixels resolution. The Honor 5X is powered by a 1.7GHz four cores Cortex-A53 + 1.2GHz four cores Cortex-A53 processor that’s backed by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 Octa-core chipset. The chipset is aided by 2GB/3GB RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. It offers a 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of MicroSD card.

On camera front, it comes with a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with dual LED flash, while a 5-megapixel front-shooter with 22mm wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, 4P lens, Blue glass filter and also able to capture 88 degree wide angle group selfie photography. The rear camera also own so many features such as 5P lens, 28mm wide-angle lens with f/2.0 aperture and Blue Glass IR filter for sharp and clear images.

The Huawei Honor 5X uses the Android 5.1 Lollipop with latest EMUI 3.1 UI from Huawei. You can use the Fingerprint scanner to lock the 5X in just 0.5 seconds and Huawei called it Fingerprint 2.0′ technology. The device also supports a dual SIM functionality with 4G LTE network.

The Honor 5X packs a 3000mAh battery that’s rated to deliver normal usage time up to 1.46 days and heavy usage time up to 1 days which sound very impressive. There is also support for Quick Charge 3.0 tech, which can charge up to 50% battery in just 30 minutes.
