Today in Bangkok – Thailand, Huawei has officially launched its latest duo flagship smartphones called Huawei GR5 and Huawei Mate 8 in the Southeast Asian market. The Mate 8 was launched back at CES 2016, but the GR5 is a completely new product from the company.

And here is the information of the new phone Huawei GR5. It is a midrange handset which comes with many advanced elements include full metal housing, a fingerprint sensor on the back, fast charge technology, and a 5.5-inch Full HD display. It is fueled by 64-bit Octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC (4 x 1.5 GHz + 4 x 1.2 GHz), 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
Huawei touted that the GR5 comes equipped with next generation Fingerprint Sensor 2.0 that can be unlocked the device within 0.5 seconds, 360 degrees fingerprint identification and operate effectively even when fingers are wet.
Additionally, user can also use this sensor to do a lot of other interesting things such as one touch to Back, hold to Home, quick camera, video, answering the call, swipe up to open the recent app and swipe down to open the Notification bar etc.
The Huawei GR5 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary camera with Sony CMOS BSI sensor, PDAF autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and dual LED flash. There is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for decent selfies. The camera also records Time-Lapse, Slow-Motion videos along with many different shooting modes. The GR5 packs in 3000mAh battery with fast charging 2A tech. and provides 1 to 3 days moderate usage time.
Huawei Mate 8:
Huawei Mate 8 inherits advantages over Mate 7 launched last year. The handset comes equipped with a 6.0-inch IPS display, 2.5D curved glass top of it looks like the current blockbuster. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on customizable Huawei Emotion UI interface. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz Quad-core Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor; users have two options to choose such as 4GB and 3GB of RAM corresponding to 32GB or 64GB of internal storage.
In addition, Huawei also favors on camera front, Mate 8 flaunts a 16-megapixel primary camera with Sony IMX298 sensor with ultra-fast autofocus, 1.12 microseconds pixel and dual LED flash. It packs in a 4000mAh battery under the hood with energy-saving mode.
