Huawei on Thursday announced the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone, the Huawei Enjoy 8. The smartphone, which succeeds last year’s Huawei Enjoy 7, is the company’s latest to feature a FullView display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and Dual rear camera setup.
Huawei Enjoy 8 Price
The Huawei Enjoy 8 is up for pre-orders in Gold, Black and Blue color variants. The 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,299 – approximately $206 and the 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant is priced at CNY 1,499 – approximately $238. The smartphone is available for purchase via Vmall in China.
Huawei Enjoy 8 Specifications
The Enjoy 8 is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone and is based on EMUI 8.0 on top of Android 8.0 Oreo. It sports a 5.99-inch HD+ (720 x 1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, and a pixel density of 268ppi. The Huawei Enjoy 8 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdeagon 430 processor (4 cores at 1.4GHz and 4 cores at 1.1GHz), coupled with a Adreno 505 GPU, and 3GB or 4GB of RAM.
In the camera department, the Huawei Enjoy 8 features a dual rear camera setup: a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, 1080p video recording and LED flash. The front camera is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture and softlight flash for selfies and video calling. The smartphone has an inbuilt storage of 32GB / 64GB, expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.
The Huawei Enjoy 8 also features a Face unlock and rear fingerprint sensor functionality as well. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, GLONASS and USB 2.0. There is a 3000mAh non-removable battery under the hood. The dimensions of the phone are 158.3 x 76.7 x 7.8 mm and the weight is 155 grams.
