After many leaks and teasers, the HTC U11 Plus and U11 Life are set to go official tomorrow. Few hours before the launch, the leaks continue to flow, and we now have a hands-on video leak showing us the front and back of both devices, revealing key design details. A video released by a German website talks about the squeezable frame design of the HTC U11 Plus smartphone and even confirms the Android One for the HTC U11 Life.
According to the information obtained from the video, the HTC U11 Plus features a 6.0-inch QHD + bezel-less display and 18:9 aspect ratio, wireless charging support, edge sense, massive 4000mAh battery and water resistance. It has a semi-transparent back cover that lets you glimpse wireless charging and other internal components. The device comes with 128GB of storage (it’s unclear if HTC will make additional memory configurations) The pre-installed Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, customized by HTC, among other things, the circular side menu bar.
The video also shows the mid-range HTC U11 Life with black color housing. From a design point of view, the back cover is made of polycarbonate, unlike the glass solution used in the recent U11 and U11 Plus. The display is 5.2-inches, smaller than the U11 of 5.5-inches, and maintains edge sense support. However, the software platform is different from that of U11 and U11 Plus because U11 Life is based on Android One, it uses stock Android.
The hands-on video also contains reference prices of both devices for the Swiss market: 849 Swiss francs – approximately $848 for HTC U11 Plus and 349 Swiss francs – approximately $348 for HTC U11 Life. It should be noted that the actual prices for the US market may differ, as per HTC tradition.
Recently, HTC U11 Life was listed on a T-Mobile and revealed the device would debut with a 5.2-inch full-HD display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor. The smartphone also appeared to have 3GB of RAM, 32GB of native storage, and 16-megapixel camera sensors on the front and back.
