Along with the new OMEN X 2S 15 world’s first dual-screen gaming laptop, HP has updated the Omen 15, Omen 17 and Pavilion Gaming 15 as well as adding to the Pavilion Gaming 17 versions. The products will be available from June, however, HP has shared the first technical details with the relative prices of the various models.
Let’s start with Omen 15, thinner, lighter and faster | and characterized by a design 20% more compact than its predecessor. On board, we will find Intel Core 9th generation processors (including Core i9 8-core) up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and NVIDIA GeForce RTX Max-Q Design graphics.
Same treatment for the older brother, Omen 17, reduced in thickness by 18% compared to the previous version, and equipped with Intel Core 9a gen CPU and dedicated NVIDIA graphics with options up to GeForce RTX 2080. Storage includes the latest Intel Optane H10, while for the display HP offers FHD panels up to 240 Hz.
The Pavilion Gaming line, slightly cheaper than the Omen models and has been enriched with the 17-inch variant this year. Pavilion Gaming 15 2019 maintains substantially the same design but reducing the weight by about 8% compared to the previous model.
The hardware configuration of the two models provides different options, among which stand out Intel Core 9a gen (Core i5 or Core i7), DDR4 memory and dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics up to the most recent GTX 1660 Ti Mx-Q Design.
