Honor V8 was officially unveiled earlier this month and it went on pre-order in in China. After a couple of days of launching Huawei Honor V8 Unlocked variant is now available for purchase on Amazon in USA. The third-party retailer is charging up to $554.99 USD for 32GB storage variant or you can also purchase 64GB model for $614.99 and it is available in Gold and Silver color variants.
The Honor V8 phone comes in two different versions, one with a 5.7-inch 2.5D curved IPS display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels is rated to deliver a pixel density 389ppi, while the other version with 5.7-inch 2.5D curved IPS display with QHD 2K resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels is rated to deliver a higher pixel density 515ppi. It is powered by Kirin 950 octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz paired with Mali-T880 GPU and 4GB of RAM and microSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB.
The Honor V8 mobile flaunts dual 12-megapixel rear primary camera with PDAF, laser autofocus and dual-tone LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. The dual rear camera can capture 3D photos and also record videos in 2K resolution. The handset has a fingerprint sensor with 3D recognition technology to unlock the device and also click stills.
The device runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow based on EMUI 4.1 on top of it. It has Hybrid Dual SIM (nano + nano/microSD) support. It packs in a 3500mAh battery that supports fast charging technology along with the 9V/2A charger is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of talk time and up to 6 hours of video playback time. For connectivity, includes 4G LTE/VoLTE, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and USB Type-C options.
