Honor V20 With 6.4-inch FHD+ Display, 48MP Rear Camera with 3D TOF Sensor Launched

After appearing in leaked images, the Honor V20 has been officially launched in China and it will be introduced globally on January 22, 2019, as Honor View20 at an event in Paris, France. While the handset also teased on Amazon.in in India as the View20, so we can expect India pricing on the global launch day. It is mid-range device comes with a 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a hole for the front camera, up to 8GB RAM, Dual Rear Camera with 48MP sensor and fingerprint sensor.

The Honor V20 price in China starts from CNY 2,999 – approximately $434 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version, CNY 3,499 – approximately $507 for the 8GB RAM with 128GB storage version and the MOSCHINO Edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version costs CNY 3,999 – approximately $579. It is now available for order and goes on sale in China from December 31, 2018. The handset comes in Black, Blue, and Red color options.

The Honor V20 features a 6.4-inch Full HD+ LCD IPS screen with 91.82% screen-to-body ratio, 96% NTSC Color Gamut and 25MP front camera with just 4.5mm cut out. It is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core processor which supported by HUAWEI Kirin 980 SoC with 720 MHz ARM Mali-G76MP10 GPU with GPU Turbo 2.0 and liquid cooling. It packs 6GB / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 128GB storage / 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM with 256GB storage.

On the camera front, the V20 bears a 48-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX586 1/2-type (8.0 mm diagonal) sensor, uses 4-in-1 light fusion that outputs better low-light images at a 12MP resolution and 4-times improved HDR support. It also has a TOF 3D secondary rear camera that lets you play games using 3D gesture recognition by capturing body movements. For selfie, there is a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor V20 also features a Link Turbo automatically analyze users’ usage models and network conditions to switch seamlessly between Wi-Fi or 4G networks and boost downloading speed by simultaneously adopting both networks. There is a fingerprint sensor on the back side which has a V-shaped textured glass design on the metal body.

The handset runs on Android 9.0 Pie -based on Magic UI 2.0 out of the box. It packs a 4000mAh battery with 22.5W (4.5V-5A) fast charging. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby and for connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS (L1 + L5 dual-band), Bluetooth 5 LE, NFC, and USB C. The device measures 156.9 × 75.4 × 8.1mm and weighs 180 grams.
