After listed by TENAA last month, the Honor 8X has been officially launched in China. It is mid-budget handset comes with a 6.5-inch 19:5:9 display, 4GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras with AI and fingerprint sensor.
Honor 8X Price and Availability
The Honor 8X price in China starts from CNY 1,399 – approximately $204 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs CNY 1,599 – approximately $234. While the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant will cost CNY 1,899 – approximately $278. It is available for order now and goes on sale in China from September 11, 2018. The handset comes in Black, Blue, Red and Purple color options.
Honor 8X Specifications
The Huawei Honor 8X features a 6.5-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 19:5:9 aspect ratio with a 4.25mm narrow chin and 91% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz octa-core processor which supported by Kirin 710 12nm Mobile Platform with ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU and 4GB/6GB of RAM. It packs a 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 400GB.
On the camera front, the 8X bears a 20-megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, LED flash, AI scene recognition that can identify up to 500 scenes, 480 fps slow-mo recording and a 2-megapixel secondary camera to capture depth information in portrait shots. For selfie, there is a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, 4-in-1 pixel binning technology and AI beautify.
The Honor 8X also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene that vibrates the phone to intelligent match up to 30 different senses promising more realistic game scene experience. The handset runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on EMUI 8.2 out of the box.
It packs a 3750mAh battery with fast charging and comes with dedicated dual SIM and microSD card slots. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, and USB C. The device measures 160.4×76.6×7.8mm and weighs 175 grams.
