Along with the Honor 8X, the Huawei’s Honor brand also announced the Honor 8X Max smartphone in China. It is also mid-budget device comes with a 7.12-inch 18.7:9 display, 6GB RAM, Dual Rear Cameras with AI and fingerprint sensor.
Honor 8X Max Price and Availability
The Honor 8X Max price in China starts from CNY 1,499 – approximately $219 for the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version and 128GB storage version costs CNY 1,799 – approximately $263. It is available for order now and goes on sale in China from September 11, 2018. While the Snapdragon 660 version with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will go on sale in October. The handset comes in Black, Blue, and Red color options.
Honor 8X Specifications
The Huawei Honor 8X Max features a 7.12-inch 2.5D curved glass display with Full HD+ (2244 × 1080 pixels) resolution, 18.7:9 aspect ratio with a 72% NTSC Color Gamut, narrow bezels, and 90.5% screen-to-body ratio. It is powered by a 2.2 GHz/1.8GHz octa-core processor which supported by Snapdragon 660 / Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform with Adreno 512 / Adreno 509 GPU. It packs 4GB of RAM with 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage and 6GB of RAM with 64GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
On the camera front, the 8X Max flaunts a 16-megapixel rear camera with AI scene recognition, f/2 aperture, LED flash, and a 2-megapixel secondary camera with a f/2.4 aperture to capture depth information in portrait shots. For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.
The Honor 8X Max also has a fingerprint sensor on the back and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo-based on EMUI 8.2 out of the box. It packs a 5000mAh battery with support for reverse charging to charge other phones, as well as 9V/2A fast charging. It has a hybrid dual SIM slot and for connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5, and USB C. The device measures 177.57×86.24×8.13mm and weighs 210 grams.
