Alongside the new Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Nest Mini, and Wifi Google Nest products, the company also announced a new Chrome laptop called Pixelbook Go at the hardware event in New York. Pixel book is a portable laptop with a touchscreen display, runs on ChromeOS, comes with an even bigger battery compared to previous Google Pixelbook and more.
The Chromebook pixel laptop will ship with Intel Core m3 processors on the base variant and Intel Core i7 processors on the higher-end variant. Google Pixelbook Go features a lightweight design with a textured bottom, sleek matte finish, and magnesium casing and has a 13.3-inch touchscreen display with up to 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels).
The Google Pixel book Go will feature 8GB or 16GB RAM and will ship with 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB of storage. It weighs around 1090 grams and measuring 311 x 206.3 x 13.4 mm. It runs on Chrome OS that “starts up in seconds and stays fast with automatic updates”, comes with an improved full-size backlit keyboard, Hush keys to minimize noise disruption, and a dedicated Google Assistant key. It sports a 2MP 1080p webcam with f/2.0 aperture; dual front-firing speakers, and Titan C security chip, built-in FIDO authenticator and sensors like Ambient Light sensor and Magnetic sensor.
This google notebook promises to deliver up to 12 hours of battery life and 2 hours of battery in just 20 minutes of charging. For connectivity includes, 2 x USB Type-C charging, display output, and 3.5mm headphone jack, It packs 47Wh battery (FHD model) or 56Wh battery (4K model) with USB Type-C 45W charge adapter (5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/2.25A).
Pixelbook Go Price and Availability
Google Pixelbook Go is priced starting at $649 for Intel Core m3, 8GB RAM, 64GB storage version, $849 for Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage version, $999 for Core i5 16GB RAM, 128GB storage version and $1399 Core i7, 16GB RAM and 256GB storage version. The pre-orders have already been started through Bhphotovideo.com and come in Just Black, and Not Pink color options.
