The Google Pixel XL 2017 or XL 2 image has been published by the Android Police, and as per the source, the Google Pixel 2 2017 comes with a large display and the image claiming to show the second-generation Google Pixel XL 2 2017 model, the device name yet to be finalised, but it’s known as Google Pixel XL 2 or Google Pixel XL 2017.
The overall appearance of the device has a continuity with the first generation of Google Pixel series; and the second information about the manufacturer, which coincides with LG, as suggested that the device will have an LG-made AMOLED panel.
The rear part of the device has a curvature, as the last year’s model, but has sharper corners. The fingerprint sensor is now placed outside rectangular element in glass, which is smaller than the 2016 XL model. The camera lens is surrounded by a small ring in silver color, the image does not allow to determine with certainty whether the element is perfectly aligned with the glass surface, but the source is assumed that it can protrude slightly. In the lower part of the body, we cannot find the classic strips under which there are the antennas, that may have been carefully concealed.
The front panel will come with a 6.0-inch display, compared to 5.5 inches seen on the original Google Pixel XL. The source claims that the new Pixel XL will sport an aspect ratio of 2:1 – the same as the LG G6 and it’s 18:9 aspect ratio. Much like the original Pixel, the new Pixel XL is seen featuring rounded corners. Some other design elements spotted in the leaked image show the speaker grille at the top as well as the front-facing camera.
Another worthy detail of the Google Pixel XL 2017 smartphone is being rumored to go for “squeezable” frame on its Pixel XL, an approach that was recently tried by HTC With its U11 flagship. The report adds that the “squeezable” frame will help Pixel XL 2017 owners interact with Google Assistant. We can expect more details in future leaks.
You have to take this report with the benefit of the doubt because, as pointed out by the AP, the final design may be subject to further changes. The source adds that they don’t know the price and the release date of the device, as it has yet to establish the brand name of the device that could also be different from Google Pixel 2 XL.
We can say that Google has drawn inspiration from the latest smartphone production, based on LG G6 and the HTC U11. The according to the source, new XL device should be the most innovative, but the leaked report doesn’t give a lot in terms of what to expect on the new Pixel hardware.
