Along with the Pixel 2 XL, Google also unveiled the Pixel 2 smartphone at its event in San Fransico. The device will offer major upgrades in the camera department, squeezable display, and stronger software integration to deliver a more personalized experience to the user.
The Google Pixel 2 price in USA is $649 for the 64GB storage model and $749 for the 128GB storage. The handset comes in Black and Clearly White colors and will first be available in Australia, Germany, Canada, India, UK and U.S. and will be released in Italy, Singapore and Spain later this year.
Google Pixel 2 Specifications
The Google Pixel 2 features a 5.0-inch AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 95 percent DCI-P3 coverage, 100000:1 super contrast ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top of it. The device has a fingerprint sensor on the back and comes with Aluminum unibody with hybrid coating and has Active Edge for quick squeeze to launch Google Assistant. The handset is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB DDR4X of RAM. It packs a 64GB / 128GB of inbuilt storage which can be expanded via microSD card up to 256GB.
For optics, the Pixel 2 bears a 12.2-megapixel primary autofocus camera with OIS, EIS, f/1.8 aperture, 1.4μm pixel size, laser + dual pixel phase detection, 4K video recording and LED flash. It lets you take portrait shots with background blurs, from both the front and back camera and has new motion photos feature that captures a few seconds of video around the shot. It comes with unlimited full resolution photos and videos.
For selfie, there is an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture and 1.4μm pixel size. The Google Pixel 2 is also IP67 certified means protection against water and dust; it has Stereo front-firing speakers for loud volume.
The device runs on Android 8.0 Oreo OS out of the box. It packs a 2700mAh battery with fast charging support. For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac 2x2MIMO (2.4/5 GHz), GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5 LE, NFC and USB Type-C options.
