Google has partnered with Hadley Roma to add more elements in its Android wear to attract more users by creating a Mode interchangeable bands – Mode Snap-and-Swap Bands for watches. Hadley Roma Watch Straps and Bands already famous in the current market.
The Mode Snap-and-Swap Bands are available in two variants including Mode silicon bands pricing start at $49.99 and available in six different colors such as Fluro Yellow, Fluro Red, Mint, Grey, Black and White; while the Mode leather bands has been priced at $59.99 and are available in 10 different colors like Black, Brown, Tan, Grey, Indigo, Green, Ruby, White, Silver and Gold. Google Mode bands will be compatible with only those Android Wear watches that sport standard lugs to attach the bands with the watch. It comes with two pins that users would need to attach to the watch’s lugs. The band can then be locked with those pins by its quick switch buttons. Personally, I found that it’s much faster and easier than NATO Straps are very popular currently.
Commenting on the launch, Gina Reimann & Jen Lu, Design Lead & Product Manager, Google Accessories, “This is just the beginning. We want Android Wear to give you as much choice as possible, so we’ll be sharing the Mode mechanism design and source with other brands to use to create their own snap-and-swap watch bands”.
Google Mode Snap-and-Swap Bands can be purchased from the Google Store and Amazon in USA.
