Google has officially launched Google Home – a compact device designed to serve multiple purposes, such as entertainment in the form of streaming music from the equipment, manage daily tasks and search on Google. Google Home with Google Assistant is Google’s answer to its rival Amazon Echo and Alexa Assistant.
Mario Queiroz – a vice president of Google products, said “Home will sync with Chromecast devices that allow remote control of televisions or stereo systems, and with “smart” devices made by Google-owned Nest and other companies”
The device has a compact cylindrical design, the top with integrated LED system shows four different colors and the bottom has a removable modular design and its also available in different colors and finishes, metal or fiber, and allows users to customize it according to the interior of their house.
Inside the device has a powerful speakers are big enough to put the music spills over to the room with powerful bass and high treble, according to Queiroz. It has a compact design, does not use batteries, but instead of it we have plug and put it one place. Apart from quality speakers, also integrated mic so that means it can hear your instructions to follow various tasks.
What’s Google Home features that really dominant the Amazon Echo, it can sync with other speakers in the house which placed in the different room through the Google Cast. Thus, you can order the Google Home to play music in different rooms via Google Cast Audio feature. It can stream music through the Google Play Music and also support other services such as Spotify Cast. It can also coordinate with Google Chromecast. If paired it with the smart TV, you can ask Google Home to stream YouTube video simply via voice command and also control other smart devices made by Google Nest and other companies.
Additionally, Google Home allows you to exploit the maximum capabilities of Google Assistant. “Our ability to do conversational understanding is far ahead of what other virtual assistants can do,” said by Pichai.
“When I walk into my house, I should be able to interact with Google assistant hands free, using voice, without taking out my phone,” Queiroz said.
