Google Assistant is Now Available on Sony Android TV

Google Assistant has been landed on Sony Android TV 2017 and selected 2016 range smart 4K HDR TVs. New update is currently available in USA only.

To use Google Assistant on your Android TV, simply press the microphone button on the remote that activates the virtual voice assistant. Added features allow you to request information such as weather forecasts, control playback of multimedia content (streaming services, music, photos), or control your connected smart home devices.

By saying the words “Play Stranger Things”, for example, you can start playback directly on Netflix. On YouTube, you can browse categories by requesting the latest, most popular, and more. Google Assistant is available across the 2017 and 2016 XBR-Z9D, XBR-X800D, XBR-X750 / X700D Series.
