Google Assistant arrives on Sony Android TV 2018. The voice assistant is now integrated into televisions sold in the UK, and support will be added in other countries over the next few months. To use Google Assistant, simply use the built-in microphone in Android TV compatible remote controls. The features offered include quick access to movies, music and other multimedia content, control of “smart” devices on the local network and the search for various types of information.
To watch a movie, simply say the name and the service you want to use. An example is “play Jumanji – Welcome to the jungle on Google Play”. The 2018 models compatible with Google Assistant are the AF8 OLEDs and the XF90, XF85, XF80 and XF75 LCDs. The arrival of Google Assistant is already confirmed in France, Germany, Spain and the Netherlands.
