Goinee on Tuesday has launched its M series of smartphones in China, with the Gionee M6 and Gionee M6 Plus. The M6 has been priced at CNY 2699 – approximately $404 USD / 27,220 INR for 64GB variant and the 128GB variant for 2899 CNY – approximately $434 USD / 29,225 INR, and will be available from August 6th China; while the M6 Plus has been priced at CNY 2999 – approximately $449 USD / 30,230 INR for 64GB variant and the 128GB variant for 3199 CNY – approximately $479 USD / 32,249 INR, and will be available from the August 13. There is no word on global availability now. 
With the launch of Gionee M6 and M6 Plus, the company also touting all new Hardware Encryption Chips to secure a user’s personal data and also for secured calls and text messages details only for Chinese models. Both devices can secure a consumers’ privacy with integrated security measures. Meanwhile, the international variant features a fingerprint sensor on the front Home button for enhanced security.
Gionee M6 Specifications
The device features a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution, 100% NTSC color gamut and contrast ratio of 30000:1. The screen is also protected by 2.5D curved glass layer on top. The device has a zircon sand surface coating technology and its housing made of durable metal alloy.
It is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) octa-core processor which supported by Mali T860MP2 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It is available in 64GB / 128GB storage options which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. 
On the camera front, the M6 flaunts a 13-megapixel primary autofocus camera with Sony IMX258 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 5P lens, 1.12um pixel size and dual-tone LED flash. It has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with Omnivision OV8856 sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1.12um pixel size and wide-angle lens to capture stunning self portraits and quality video calling.
The Gionee Marathon M6 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based on Amigo OS 3.2 out of the box. It packs a 5000mAh battery with fast charging technology. It supports dual SIM slot with dual standby, For connectivity includes 4G VoLTE, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0 and 3.5 mm audio jack options.
Gionee M6 Plus Specifications
The M6 Plus features a 6.0-inch AMOLED display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it. It has a 16-megapixel primary autofocus camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. 
It is also powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) octa-core processor; Mali T860MP2 GPU; 4GB of RAM and also available in 64GB / 128GB storage options which can be expanded via microSD card up to 128GB. Rest of the specs of the Gionee Marathon M6 Plus are as same as Gionee M6 except battery capacity, M6 Plus packs in 6020mAh battery with fast charging technology.
