Gionee A1 Plus With Dual Rear Camera and 20MP Front Camera with Selfie Flash

Gionee A1 Plus has been launched in India was first announced at MWC 2017 this year along with the Gionee A1. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer announced that the new Gionee A1 Plus price in India has been set at Rs. 26,999 – $420 and will go on sale from July 26 via offline retailers in Mocha Gold and Black colors. The company has not mentioned whether the device will become available to buy via online stores at a later date.

The highlight of the Gionee A1 Plus is its dual rear camera setup. It bears one 13-megapixel autofocus 1/3.06-inch sensor bearing an f/2.0 aperture and one 5-megapixel fixed focus sensor bearing an f/2.2 aperture, and a flash module that integrates and IR remote control sensor. For selfie, the A1 Plus bears a 20-megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture, 1/2.8-inch sensor, and selfie flash which is another main USP of the device.

The handset also bears a fingerprint sensor on the home button to unlock the device. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Amigo 4 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It bears a 6-inch IPS LCD display with full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution and it is powered by a 2.6GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 SoC that’s coupled with the 4GB of RAM.

The smartphone bears 64GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card up to 256GB. Connectivity options on board the Gionee A1 Plus include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB 2.0 with OTG. It packs a 4550mAh battery with the company’s own 18W ‘ultrafast’ charger that is claimed to charge the battery fully in just 2 hours. Sensors on the smartphone include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, light sensor, and proximity sensor. It measures 166.4 x 83.3 x 9.1mm, and weighs 226 grams.
