Gigabyte updates its portable gaming laptop catalog, refreshing a new version of the famous Aero 15 notebook. The new model called Gigabyte Aero 15X is now revised in the hardware configuration, although it does not have much changed from its predecessor in design. Now it offers a more powerful graphics solution, as well as some additional technologies.
With a “near-borderless” 5mm bezels design, a thickness of 1.9cm and 2.1 kg in weight. The Gigabyte Aero 15X offers a backlit (RGB) keyboard and uses an Intel Core i7-770HQ processor coupled with 8GB DDR4 2400 MHz Dual-Channel RAM (up to 32GB).
A noteworthy upgrade is in the graphics department from GeForce GTX 1060 6GB to a more powerful Geforce GTX 1070 8GB (with Nvidia Optimus), all cooled by a dual-fan (CPU / GPU) cooler system with copper heatpipe.
The GeForce GTX 1070 will handle a 15.6-inch Full-HD display, while the storage department has two M.2 PCIe SSD (NVMe). As for connectivity expansion, the Aero 15X offers Gigabit LAN and WiFi AC Killer, supporting USB 3.0 (Type A / C), USB 3.1 / Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0 and Mini Diplay Port 1.3. As far as the battery is concerned, the gaming laptop mounts a 94Whr battery capacity.
Gigabyte Aero 15X will be available from mid-October in Black, Orange and Green colors.
