General Mobile GM 6 Android One Smartphone Announced at MWC 2017

The Turkish General Mobile phone manufacturer has officially announced a new Android One smartphone during a press conference at the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. The device, called GM 6, is the higher variant of the GM 5 was launched back in November 2016. GM 6 is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor that’s fueled by the MediaTek MT6737T chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory expandable with Micro SD support up to 128GB. Display is 5.0-inches with IPS panel and HD (742 x 1280 pixels) resolution.

The General Mobile GM 6 front side with rounded edges and covered with 2.5D curved glass layer on top of it, while a fingerprint sensor embedded into the front the Home physical button which is claimed to unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.

It has a full support for connectivity includes 4G LTE + 4.5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS/ A-GPS, and a Micro-USB port. While the handset packs in 3000mAh battery that’s provide long day juice to GM 6.

The photo department offers a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with Dual LED Flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera also equipped with LED flash to capture bright selfie and video chatting in low light conditions. Android One

The design of the General Mobile GM 6 is quite simple with metal frame and back with plastic case, while the dimensions are in line with key competitors and are equal to 144 x 71.3 x 8.6 mm and weighs 150 grams. The device, being part of the Google Android One project, has an in-house stock interface, without any customization by the manufacturer.

General Mobile GM 6 will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Space Grey color options. In single and dual SIM configuration to 45 countries, including Azerbaijan, Albania, Afghanistan, Belgium, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ghana, Greece, Iraq, Kenya, Luxembourg, Moldova, Netherlands, Pakistan, Serbia, Tunisia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. While the General Mobile Turkey company revealed the smartphone itself alongside specifications, it has yet to detail availability or price.
