Garmin Vivomove Fitness Smart Watch Launched at $149.99

Garmin launched Varia Vision Cycling accessory recently, and now announced its Vivomove smartwatch with fitness tracking features along with customisable sports rubber bands and leather bands. Garmin Vivomove is a fitness tracking health monitoring device, does not have complicated features such as GPS or heart rate monitors, but in return it has a long lasting battery life of up to 1 year.Garmin Vivomove

The luxury watch face with a Move bar – displays on device after a period of inactivity. The red move bar builds with every 15 minutes of inactivity until you reset it by walking for a couple of minutes. Steps and sleep are automatically detected, minimizing the number of times you have to fiddle with it when you’re merely doing daily activities.

The company says the 5 ATM water rating certified Garmin Watch which allows dive at a depth of 50m. It is not recommended for deep sea diving and long time under water, but you can go for swimming or snorkeling without fear of broken watches. Vivomove smart watch is backed by a replaceable CR2025 coin cell battery that can deliver up to 1 year of power. The Garmin Vivomove connects to Android and iOS devices via Bluetooth v4.0 through the Garmin Connect app.

The Activity Tracking device comes in three variants – Sport, Classic, and Premium, priced at $149.99, $199.99 and $299.99 respectively. While the Sport version is available in Black/White with sport bands, the Classic version is available in Black/Rose Gold-Tone with leather bands; and Premium version will come in Stainless steel/Gold-Tone Steel with leather bands. The device is exclusively available for pre-order via Amazon store.

Talking about wearables, Google last month partnered with Hadley Roma to introduce a Mode interchangeable bands – Mode Snap-and-Swap Bands for watches. The Mode bands are available in different width sizes for the lugs, including 22mm, 20mm, 18mm and 16mm. It has two variants including Mode silicon bands pricing start at $49.99 and Mode leather bands has been priced at $59.99.
