Garmin launches Approach S40 Golf Watch With Up to 41,000 Courses: Price and Availability

Garmin recently added a completely new member to their Golf watch segment that is Approach S40. According to the numbering, symbol, and price, Garmin Approach S40 belongs to the mid-range segment with Golf co-sponsorships that Garmin produces. Basically, Approach S40 is also a GPS watch but is customized to best suit Golf. The outstanding equipment and features of Approach S40 must include:

  • The body is 43mm in size and is made of lightweight aluminum and plastic, so Approach S40 is very light weight, only 43 grams.
  • 1.2-inch touch screen with 240 x 240 pixels resolution with MIP technology for excellent display quality in the sunlight.
  • 64 MB internal storage is pre-installed with over 41,000 golf maps worldwide.

AutoShot detection measures and auto-records detected shot distances; pair with optional Approach CT10 club tracking sensors for more automatic game tracking capabilities.

The Green View feature allows users to see exactly the shape of the golf course from which the coordinates are entered with the touch operation more accurately.

It comes with up to 15 hours of battery life for continuous golf with GPS on and 10 days for the normal smartwatch mode. It also features quick release bands for an easy wardrobe change.
