Fujinon XF23mm F2 R WR with Water and dust-resistant body Announced at $449

Along with the X-A3, Fujifilm also announced the Fujinon XF23mm F2 R WR Lens which has a highly versatile focal length equivalent to 35mm. This 23mm F/1.4 lens is more compact, and comes with very light metal housing, and also offers water and dust resistant and will work in temperatures as low as 14°F /-10°C.

Fujinon XF23mm F2 R WR gives users advanced image resolution, capable of drawing out the full performance of the proprietary Fujifilm X-TRANS CMOS sensor. It has a highly versatile focal length (35mm in 35mm format equivalent), covering a range of subjects from snapshots to landscapes and portraits, so it could be the choice of many users, especially for street photographers.

Based on the 35mm F2 than 35mm F/1.4, users also expect a better 23mm lens. Compared with the F/1.4 model, 23mm F2 optical structure is completely new when it comes with 10 elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical elements. The maximum aperture of F2 and the closest F/16. It has 9 blade aperture that promises to give more beautiful bokeh, and smooth high-definition transfer than the F/1.4.

In addition to the Black color, this lens also comes in Silver color to fit the body like newly launched X-A3 (Silver), X-T10, and X-T1 (Graphite Silver), Black variant will be sold by the end of this September, while the Silver variant will be available in October.
