At the CP+ 2016 of this year, Managers of Fujifilm – Shugo Kiryu and Shusuke Kozaki had a talk with reporters and revealed many interesting information about upcoming product launches. Whereby the Fujifilm X-T2 will be the first device can record 4K videos and do not expect 4K feature on the Fuji X Pro 2 via a firmware update.
This is not too surprising when Fujifilm has revealed X-Pro2 with powerful processor that can make high quality FHD videos. But the sad news is that the company has no plans to upgrade the video capabilities of a X-Pro2 camera.
When asked about the X-Pro Monochrome (black and white photography), Fujifilm said, “At the beginning we wanted to develop a device of this type, but in the end we opted for the simulation mode obtained from color files. For us to judge image quality for a draw. Our tests have shown that visually, the image quality between a photo after an X-Trans sensor color then treated black and white film simulation and a photo of a monochrome sensor was identical.”
When talking about the Fujifilm X30 successor, the representer said, this segment is competitive with Sony, Canon and Nikon (New compact Nikon DL). Currently the company has yet to produce 1 inch X-Trans sensor and research is still ongoing.

End of interview, Fujifilm representer said: “There may be some new Fujifilm product launches at Photokina. Fujifilm X-T2 with 4K video and Fujifilm X200 will likely to be unveiled at the next Photokina 2016 event in September.
