Fujifilm X T1 Firmware Update 4.0 with many new Improvements

Fujifilm has announced that they will launch the update 4.0 for X-T1 and X-T1 Graphite Silver Edition camera in late June this year, mainly to upgrade fast and accurate Auto-Focus feature and other shooting modes. Read more details below:

New AF system (Zone and Wide / Tracking): For focus on moving objects. Zone (AF area) allows us to choose the focus area consists of 3×3, 3×5 or 5×5 point on the screen (selected from the 77 point autofocus area).

The camera continues tracking a subject when combined with AF-C continuous focusing mode to focus faster. And wide focus mode (Wide / Tracking) enables outlines focus areas larger than Zone (AF points used up 77), used to capture moving objects horizontally, vertically or back and forth.

Increased AF accuracy: Single-point AF mode automatically divides the focus area into smaller areas to focus accurately on the small details that you desire. Combined with AF phase capability also increases sensitivity from 2,5EV up 0,5EV can help device faster autofocus in low light environments and have low contrast.

Eye Detection AF: The Fujifilm’s Eye Detection auto focus system allows you to easily focus on the eyes even in difficult conditions.

Auto Macro mode: The camera automatically switches to macro mode when necessary (shooting at close range) while maintaining fast focusing speed. The photographer does not need to press the Macro button.

Improved AF in Movie mode: Help natural and smooth AF during video recording.
