Fujifilm will soon announce the Mirrorless X-T3 and the medium format GFX 50R cameras. This confirms the length of fermentation for the photographic market. In a few weeks, many products have been announced, including Nikon, Canon and Panasonic full-frame mirrorless. The Fujifilm X-T3 launch should arrive on September 6th.
The unofficial specs speak of a 26.1-megapixel X-Trans CMOS sensor without a low-pass filter. The image processor should be the X-Processor 4. The indiscretions report a phase detection AF capable of covering practically the entire surface of the sensor. Autofocus should be able to operate up to -3 EV. Sensitivity would extend from ISO 160 to ISO 12,800, expandable to ISO 80 and ISO 51,200. X-T3 should shoot bursts at 11 frames per second.
There would also be a 3.69 million dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3-axis swivel LCD screen. The shooting capabilities of the videos are expected to be interesting. Videos recorded on SD should reach an Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second and 4:2:0 10-bit color sampling. With an external recorder connected to the HDMI output, the signal could be acquired in 4:2:2 at 10-bit. Connections should include a USB Type-C 3.1 and Bluetooth 4.2.
The medium format Fujifilm GFX 50R is instead expected for September 23rd. For now, only an unofficial image is available. According to some sources, it will be a model for a budget segment and a very affordable price compared to other products in the same category.
