The second announcement of Fujifilm this year is the top-class Fuji X100V compact camera after the launch of the Fujifilm X-T200 mirrorless camera last month.
The basis of the camera is an X-Trans CMOS IV image sensor of APS-C format (23.5 x 15.6 mm) with a resolution of 26.1MP and an improved FUJINON lens with a focal length of 23 mm (35 mm EGF) and a maximum f/2.0 aperture. The optical design of this lens with the “II” index consists of 8 elements in 6 groups, including 2 aspherical elements. A built-in neutral density filter will reduce light output by 4 EV. A nine-blade aperture can take values up to f/16. It is possible to install optional lenses, one of which reduces the focal length, and the second increases. In addition, the digital zoom is available up to 50 mm and 70 mm EGF.
The Fuji X100V uses an intelligent hybrid autofocus system that combines contrast and phase focusing. The photographer will have access to the ISO 160-12800 light sensitivity range, expandable to values equivalent to ISO 100 and 51200. The minimum shutter speed using a mechanical shutter will be 1/4000 s, using an electronic shutter – 1/32000 s.
The back panel has a 3-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1.62 million pixels. The advanced 0.5-inch hybrid viewfinder has a resolution of 3.69 million pixels. For instant switching between the optical and electronic viewfinder, there is a switch on the front of the camera body.
The camera will allow you to shoot in RAW format with a 14-bit representation. The burst speed reaches 11fps with a mechanical shutter and 20fps with an electronic shutter, and in video shooting mode resolutions up to 4K are available, although in the case of 4K the frame rate will be only 30fps, in Full HD it reaches 120fps.
The X100V also includes a built-in flash, an SD slot, a hot shoe, an optical viewfinder, an electronic viewfinder, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2, USB 3.1 Gen1 (USB Type-C connector) and HDMI (micro-HDMI connector). In addition, 17 proprietary film emulation modes, HDR support and the presence of a large number of graphic filters are available.
On one charge of the battery, it will be possible to take 350 shots when using the electronic viewfinder or up to 420 shots if you use the optical viewfinder. With dimensions of 74.8 x 128.0 x 53.3 mm, the camera with battery and memory card will weigh 478 grams.
