New Samsung tablet sports a 9.7-inch QXGA (2048×1536 pixels) Super AMOLED display, and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (2 cores at 2.15GHz and 2 cores at 1.6GHz) coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with flash and 4K video recording, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfie and video calling. It comes with 32GB of inbuilt storage that’s expandable via microSD card – up to 256GB.
Additionally, the Samsung Tab S3 has ability to manage video content in HDR (10bit), and Samsung Flow – the authentication system based on biometric data that allows you to transfer documents from a smartphone to the tablet and synchronize messages and so on. The new S Pen has a 0.7mm tip and improved pressure sensitivity compared to the previous model. Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 battery capacity is 6000mAh with quick charge support.
In terms of entertainment, it should be noted that the collaboration between Samsung and HARMAN International that made it possible to integrate the AKG audio technology in the tablet. It comes with four stereo speakers and a system that automatically adjust their settings based on the orientation of the tablet (landscape or portrait).
The tablet is available in Wi-Fi only and LTE models, while other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, A-GPS, and USB 3.1 Type-C port. The Galaxy Tab S3 measures in at 237.3 x 169 x 6 mm and weighs 429 grams on the Wi-Fi only version, and 434 grams for the LTE variant. Sensors on board include accelerometer, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, geometric sensor, and RGB sensor.
