Seagate launches FireCuda 520 SSD and Gaming Dock 4TB HDD | Prices and Specifications

Seagate introduces FireCuda 520 is a high-performance SSD with PCI-E 4.0 interface (NVMe 1.3) designed for the consumer/gaming segment and also suitable for those users who are about to upgrade their PC by introducing a storage solution of the latest generation, maybe paired with AMD Ryzen 3rd gen processors and X570 motherboards.

Along with the FireCUDA 520 Seagate solid state drive, the company also announces FireCuda Gaming Dock, an external storage system with 4TB hard drive, Thunderbolt 3 interface and additional NVMe M.2 slot for further upgrades to faster disk drives.

The FireCuda 520 Seagate solid state drive uses the M.2 2280 and features NAND 3D TLC memories; it is available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB options with performance up to 5000 MB / s in sequential readings and peaks of 760,000 IOPS in random 4K readings. The warranty is extended to 5 years, while for the prices we speak of $124.99, $249.99 and $429.99 for the 500GB, 1TB and 2TB models respectively and it can be purchased through Amazon.com store.

Firecuda Gaming Dock

As mentioned above, FireCuda Gaming Dock is an external 4TB storage unit with a Thunderbolt 3 interface. Onboard there is a 3.5″ hard disk with a 4TB capacity, however, an additional M.2 slot is available that allows alternatively to install a faster SSD PCI-E (gen 3.0).

In addition to the Thunderbolt 3 connector, FireCuda Gaming Dock also includes Thunderbolt 3 port, DisplayPort 1.4, an RJ45 Ethernet network port, 3.5 mm audio in / mic jack, a 3.5 mm audio out jack, four USB 3.1 Gen2 and a USB 3.1 Gen2 charging port. Finally, there is also a backlight system that can be customized with the proprietary Toolkit software.
