FiiO FD1 is the hi-res in-ear in ear monitor and also the company’s first model in the new Dynamic FD in ear headphones product line, parallel to the existing two lines and full Balanced FH is hybrid Armatured FA. FiiO FD1 will use a dynamic N50 driver, a 3D housing design similar to FH1S, and 2 pin connector.
It uses an internal dynamic driver, as well as inherits many technologies from the top of the hybrid models: FH7. The N50 dynamic driver packs a two-way magnetic circuit having a 55% magnetic flux promotion and nearly 1 Tesla of magnetic field intensity compared with the traditional single magnetic circuit.
The FD1 is designed with a gold-plated aluminum alloy retaining ring and sound tube for each unit, make it a familiar depth of space and bass range of headphones. Sound quality is still a bit easy to listen to, balanced, and not tired when listening for a long time.
FiiO FD1’s housing is similar to FH1S which is 3D printed with two colors, black and blue. The cable of in ear monitor system is similar to FH1S is LS-3.5A cable with standard 0.78 2-pin connector and a 3.5mm jack. The cable has 4 main cores with each core combined into 30 smaller copper cores.
The product is certified by Hi Res audio, sensitivity 109dB, and 32 Ohm impedance. The weight of the in ear headphones is also very light, only 4.5g. The accessories of the external earphone also come with a waterproof HB1 carrying case, 3 pairs of balanced silicone tips, 3 pairs of bass silicone tips, and 1 pair of memory foam ear tips.
The product has been launched in the Chinese market for 398 CNY approximately – $56, and for other markets, we will have to wait for a few more weeks.
