After introducing the group voice call last April and new camera roll feature last week in Messenger, Facebook introduced the group video chat in Messenger and confirmed through its official blog as well. Facebook Group Video Calls in Messenger is rolling out to Android, iOS and the desktop web app version of Messenger starting from today.
More than 245 million people worldwide who make video calls using Facebook Messenger to stay in touch with friends and family. So now the Mark Zuckerberg’s company has decided to improve it with more services, thus offering the possibility to make group video calls with up to 6 people at a time.
With the free course using Wi-Fi or mobile data to make Facebook group video calls, all users of this popular social network will take advantage of the Christmas and holiday period to chat at the same time with more than a one relatives or friends.
To make Facebook Group Video Chat, user have to go in its existing group conversation, or create a new one. Then tap on the video icon on the upper right of the screen to enter the video chat and everyone in the group will be notified. Each person can join when they are ready with just one tap. For an extra nudge, you can also directly ring just a few people or the whole group.
You can also apply a variety of filters or masks that will help make the group conversation even more enjoyable and funny especially in the presence of young generation. The new feature will be available in the coming days on Android, iOS and Web.
