Essential Phone is going to taste latest Android Oreo. Over the past few hours, the development team has announced the availability of the first beta build of the operating system.
Essential chose to make it available exclusively for installation via ADB and not as a downloadable software update via OTA. At the same time, Andy Rubin’s company made available Nougat-based factory image as well.

As a beta release, considerably improved aspects such as increased battery life during Bluetooth connectivity on and some incompatibilities with Android Auto are to be considered.
