DJI Osmo Pocket 3-axis Handheld Camera Gimbal Pre-Order Price, Features and Availability

DJI unveiled new Osmo Pocket 3-axis Gimbal is interesting and reflect the forecasts. DJI Osmo Pocket is a small handheld camera enriched by the presence of a 3-axis gimbal, which will make the happiness of several categories, from vlogger to travel lovers and many more.

Osmo Pocket offers a 1/2.3-inch sensor, 80° FOV, and f/2.0 aperture. It combined with the Pocket’s finely tuned brushless motor system, delivers precise control and shake-free stabilization. It can shoot stabilized 4K video at up to 60 fps and will capture 12MP images with a pixel size of 1.55 μm.

DJI states that the 3-axis gimbal used is able to allow a maximum speed in the control of 120°/s, while the new algorithm used has an accuracy of about 0.005°. The integrated battery should be 875mAh, DJI declares a duration of use at a full charge of an average of 140 minutes, while up to 120 minutes of 4K video at 30fps.

Osmo Pocket has a small Touchscreen display where we can frame the shot or enter the settings menu, we can also opt to connect our Android or iOS smartphone to enjoy the external display and the features offered by the official app. The handheld camera of DJI obviously offers some shooting modes, we find the POV, active track, face tracking, time lapse, motion lapse, night shot, and panoramic modes.

DJI also plans to release a variety of accessories to the market, such as a GoPro-style mount to apply it to any object, a Wi-Fi controller, ND filter set, a waterproof case, an extension rod and a 3.5-inch adapter for external microphones. It seems that there is also a carrying case with integrated battery, able to load Osmo Pocket while it is turned off.

Osmo Pocket handheld camera gimbal has been already up for pre-orders via Bhphotovideo.com at a price $349 with expected delivery in mid-December. In the box, we find Osmo Pocket, a cover, a Lightning adapter for iOS devices and a USB-C adapter, in addition to the charging cable.
