Denon has officially launched the AVR-X6700H AV Receiver delivers 11.2 channel sound with up to 205 watts per channel, HDMI 2.1 including 8K processing, 8K upscaling, and the new DTS:X Pro.

New Denon receiver includes a 13.2 signal processing, 3D sound formats such as Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, IMAX Enhanced or Auro-3D can be played in a 7.2.6 or 9.2.4 setup. We have the full 3D audio support that also the new DTS:X Pro (via firmware update) mastered! Inherited from the Denon flagship AVR-X8500H, a sophisticated digital audio processing system that incorporates two dual SHARC+ core DSP chips is adopted into the AVR-X6700H.

Like the AVR-X4700H and AVR-X3700H, the model is equipped with an HDMI 2.1 input and two HDMI 2.1 outputs (+1 HDMI 2.0 output). The remaining 7 HDMI inputs are version 2.0. All HDMI interfaces are equipped with the new copy protection protocol HDCP 2.3. This means that the AVR-X6700H can process 8K / 60Hz and 4K / 120Hz content.

There is also full HDR equipment with HLG, HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision. These can be passed on to compatible devices via pass-through. Video signals that are not available in sufficient resolution or refresh rate can be upgraded to 8K / 60p using the upscaling function. The audio receiver provides an active section for 11 channels. However, the preamplifiers can process 13.2 channels, whereby the subs do not really get their own signal. However, you can adapt/measure the subs yourself, which can bring advantages. The power consumption is specified with a maximum of 750 watts.
